Own a certified Roman bronze coin of Aelia Eudoxia (AD 401–404), wife of Emperor Arcadius and mother to Theodosius II. This historically important piece, authenticated and slabbed by NGC, offers a glimpse into the powerful and often turbulent imperial court of the Eastern Roman Empire.

Aelia Eudoxia rose to prominence through a marriage arranged by the influential court eunuch Eutropius — a figure she later helped remove and execute after consolidating her own power. As empress, she wielded significant influence, often clashing with both political rivals and the church, notably engaging in disputes with the famed bishop John Chrysostom.

Despite her controversial role, Eudoxia's position helped secure the dynasty’s future. Her son, Theodosius II, would later rule the Eastern Empire for more than four decades. Tragically, her life was cut short in 404 AD when she died from complications during childbirth.

Coins associated with Aelia Eudoxia are scarce and historically valuable. They typically feature imperial symbolism and Christian imagery, reflecting the growing power of Christianity within the empire.

Encapsulated by NGC, this bronze coin is a certified piece of history from the early Byzantine world. It’s a striking addition for collectors interested in powerful women of antiquity or the transformative years of the late Roman Empire.
